A fit-again Timo Werner leads the line for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge with the home side taking on bitter rivals Manchester United.
Werner’s return from a recent injury was followed up by the German forward bagging a goal against Juventus in the midweek Champions League outing for Thomas Tuchel’s men.
Unchanged three-man backline for the hosts
Tuchel decides against ringing in changes to his three-man defensive lineup yet again to much surprise with Trevoh Chalobah and Thiago Silva retaining their spots on the team sheet alongside Antonio Rudiger.
Ben Chilwell’s injury sidelines him for the upcoming weeks and replacing the England international in the left wing-back role is Marcos Alonso.
Loftus-Cheek comes in for the injured N’Golo Kante
Another injury concern for the Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel in N’Golo Kante is deputised by Ruben Loftus-Cheek who slots in the middle of the park with Jorginho.
In the final third, the in-form Callum Hudson-Odoi retains his starting berth with Hakim Ziyech drafted on the opposite flank as Timo Werner functions in the central striking role.
Here is how both teams line up for today’s Premier League fixture:
