Chelsea’s Summer Spending about to cross £250 million with Declan Rice Signing

Chelsea is ready to push for Declan Rice signing for the coming season. The transfer will take Roman Abramovich’s total summer spending to cross the £250 million mark.

The Chelsea president is determined to go big this season and has given all the liberty to Frank Lampard.

Since then, Frank Lampard has given an impressive new look to the squad with back to back quality signings.

Declan Rice is an important player in David Moyes’ plans for the coming season but the Blues can lure him with their propositions. He is a quality player of West Ham who is able to play in both defense and midfield.

He is a versatile star and a leader on the field, having led his team on various occasions. The Board won’t mind spending on him looking at his qualities.

Lampard speaks highly about this English youngster and believes that Rice will thrive in their side’s backline. He will consequently grow under the guidance and support of the experienced Brazilian Thiago Silva too.

“At the moment, I think he is a really good Premier League holding midfield player.

I think he has done brilliantly for West Ham and is hugely ahead of where he should be in terms of expectation,” said Gary Neville.

Quite evident it is that Lampard is strengthening his backline and wants no headache with his defense in the coming season.

After buying enough firepower, they are going for defenders even if it means breaking the bank balance.
