Chelsea vs Arsenal – Chelsea’s Predicted Lineup | EPL 20-21

The Blues welcome fellow capital outfit Arsenal on Wednesday at Stamford Bridge with Thomas Tuchel’s side eyeing another win on the run in their hopes to cement their third-place status in the Premier League table.

Chelsea were last involved in a memorable 2-1 victory over the runaway leaders Manchester City as they came from behind to seal all three points from the away fixture.

Let us now have a look at how Thomas Tuchel might set up his Chelsea side against Arsenal –

3-4-2-1

Edouard Mendy was in brilliant form in the win over City and looks all set to don the goalkeeping gloves once again for the hosts in the game against the Gunners.

Andres Christensen limped off the pitch over the weekend and was replaced by Kurt Zouma for the closing 45 minutes meaning that the latter is in line to grab an outing with Christensen out injured.

Tuchel could ring in changes in his midfield with Billy Gilmour likely to give way for Jorginho and Marcos Alonso, the hero of the last outing, tipped to drop down to the bench with Ben Chilwell the first-choice option in the wing-back role.

Timo Werner’s status as the primary central striking force looks undisturbed with Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham unlikely to get any involvement in what remains of the campaign.
