Chelsea are in line to intensify their efforts to sign longstanding target Aurelien Tchouameni from AS Monaco ahead of the January transfer window.
The young midfield talent has long been linked with a move to the Bridge with the Blues manager Thomas Tuchel keen on adding to his options in the centre of the park.
Tchouameni’s showings in the Ligue 1 with Monaco have not gone unnoticed with the France international backed to make the move to England’s top flight as Chelsea and Manchester United go head to head in the battle to land the midfielder’s signature.
Saul Niguez’s initial loan switch to Chelsea has failed to work for either party and it is claimed that with the Spaniard set for a return to parent club Atletico, Chelsea will look to step up their plans for signing Tchouameni, according to The Daily Express.
West Ham United maestro Declan Rice and Dortmund starlet Jude Bellingham are the other names on the shopping list by those in charge at Stamford Bridge in line with Tuchel’s demands of bolstering his ranks midway through the campaign.
