Chelsea to enter fray for Atletico Madrid’s Saul who looks to seal exit from Spain

Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is keen on pursuing a move for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez who looks likely to depart the Spanish capital city in the summer transfer window which is now underway.

Reports from journalist Matteo Moretto claim that the Blues are in the mix to sign the Spain international who is not a part of Luis Enrique’s squad that will compete in the forthcoming UEFA European Championship.

It is believed that Granovskaia wants to add another quality midfield talent to Stamford Bridge to partner N’Golo Kante who enjoyed a tremendous run of form in the backend of this past season which concluded in Champions League glory for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic are available at Tuchel’s disposal and there is talk of a new deal being extended to Jorginho ahead of the next season despite the previous speculation of the Italian seeking a return to his homeland with his former side Napoli interested in signing him.

The 26-year-old Saul could prove to be a fantastic piece of transfer business for Tuchel and Chelsea should he join the Blues in a cut-price deal this summer which looks likely considering the La Liga champions Atletico could offload him after his struggles this past season.
