As reported by Football London, Chelsea has reportedly identified Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili as a potential target for the upcoming summer transfer window.
New head coach Mauricio Pochettino has been making decisions about the squad, considering who to retain and who could be sold.
Players like Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, and Kai Havertz have emerged as realistic options for other clubs such as Manchester City, Manchester United, and Real Madrid, respectively.
However, Chelsea has yet to make progress regarding the departure of one of their goalkeepers, most likely Edouard Mendy, who has been hesitant to sign a new contract.
Despite this, the Blues are actively seeking a new goalkeeper, with recent reports suggesting that Andre Onana from Inter Milan is also on their radar.

As per the journalist, the West Londoners are reportedly considering a move for Mamardashvili. The keeper had a disappointing season in La Liga and are barely above the relegation zone.
Despite Valencia’s struggles, their defensive record has been relatively solid, with only 44 goals conceded in 37 matches, ranking them 10th in the league.
The Georgia international has been a consistent presence in goal even during his team’s 18 losses in the top-flight Spanish league.
Chelsea has reportedly sent scouts to observe Mamardashvili’s performances, as he has attracted interest from other top European clubs in the past.

Although 22-year-old is under contract until 2027, Valencia may be open to offers for the talented goalkeeper due to the financial situations faced by many Spanish clubs.
Mamardashvili is expected to generate significant interest from various clubs in the coming months, regardless of Valencia’s league status.
