Chelsea target Harry Kane could leave Tottenham Hotspur for free next summer amid the increasing uncertainty over his future in North London.
The England skipper is entering into the final 12 months of a six-year contract he penned back in 2018 and there is speculation doing the rounds that Kane wants to leave in search of greener pastures.
According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that Kane is willing to the option of taking the decision entirely out of Spurs chairman Daniel Levy’s hands and seeing out his current terms in the Spurs shirt.
The 29-year-old Kane, who has been a star turn for both club and country in recent years, would be able to enter into talks with clubs about a pre-contract in January with Spurs resigned to the fact that Kane might not renew his terms.
With Chelsea closing in on the appointment of the former Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino who has got along well with Kane in the past, the Blues are being tipped as serious contenders for the striker’s signature.
