Chelsea support Mykhaylo Mudryk’s decision to participate in U21 Championship

As stated by Football London, Chelsea has supported Mykhaylo Mudryk’s decision to make himself eligible for the U21 Ukraine team in preparation for the European Championship.

The player’s desire to represent Ukraine U21 and rediscover his form has garnered praise from manager Mauricio Pochettino.

This is seen as a positive move for Mudryk, who has struggled to meet expectations during his first season at Stamford Bridge.

It remains uncertain if the attacker will be called up to the national team for the tournament, despite Chelsea’s support for his decision.

The young player, who joined the club in January, had a challenging time at Stamford Bridge, featuring in only seven matches.

However, he has been performing well for his national team, including a notable showing against Germany. While Mudryk displayed his strengths and potential, there were also moments that received criticism due to questionable decisions made during the games.

With Pochettino set to begin his tenure as Chelsea manager on July 1 and the team’s pre-season tour of the United States starting on August 2, the former Shakhtar Donetsk star has an opportunity to improve his game and regain his confidence before the new season begins.

The Ukrainian player had limited playing time at Chelsea, which affected his self-belief, making a sensible decision to prioritize the U21 European Championship.

Mudryk is still in the developmental phase of his career. While he possesses talent and ability, his execution can be inconsistent.

However, with time and the guidance of Pochettino, it is hoped that the 22-year-old will fulfill his potential, improve his passing and decision-making skills, and become a more consistent performer for Chelsea.
