Chelsea Superstar Signs Long Term Contract

Premier League giants Chelsea have confirmed that talented teenager Billy Gilmour has signed a new long term contract with the club which will keep him at Stamford Bridge for the next four years.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has shown his faith in young players ever since he has taken over the reins of the club. The 41-year-old has been promoting youngsters like Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount since the start of the term and Lampard is not stopping just yet.

The latest player to sign a contract extension at the club is young midfield sensation Billy Gilmour after impressing Lampard in the training sessions and the 18-year-old has committed his future at Chelsea until the summer of 2023.

Gilmour joined the West London club from Scottish Premier League club Rangers at the age of just 15 but made his first senior appearance for the club when he came off the bench to replace Tammy Abraham in the game against Sheffield United two weeks ago.

Gilmour’s new long term deal is the latest commitment to young players made by new head coach Frank Lampard and Gilmour expressed his delight at the manager having trust in him.

While speaking to the clubs official website Gilmour said, “It’s really exciting for me and my family to sign this four-year deal with the club, Frank has come in and everyone is buzzing, training is really good and there’s a high standard to everything we do. There are exciting times ahead and hopefully, I can work hard to get more opportunities as well.”
