Chelsea Star Would Welcome Competition For A Starting Berth

American superstar Christian Pulisic would welcome new signings at Stamford Bridge even if it means that it would increase competition for starting berths at Chelsea.

The 20-year old forward was Chelsea’s last signing but, after the West London club was induced with a transfer ban which was reduced on appeal and the Blues are reportedly ready to splash the cash in the January transfer window to bring in reinforcements.

Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho and Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha are said to be among Chelsea’s main transfer targets as they seek to add depth to Frank Lampard’s young squad to bolster their chances for a top four berth in the Premier League.

Pulisic has already scored five goals in 16 Premier League appearances since joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund and the star forward is not worried about the prospect of fresh faces at the London outfit.

While speaking to reporters the American international explained that he is looking forward to new arrivals in the winter transfer window, “It is normal, teams look to improve their team and if players do come in there is competition, that is how it goes, So we’ll be ready for that and hopefully we’ll have players that come in and want to help us.”

Chelsea has won only two of their past six games in the Premier League and are in fourth place on the League table at the moment but there have been some inconsistencies in there from as well as performances.
