Chelsea’s objective to snap away all the best and most talented youngsters in the world continues as they sign another youngster in the club.
This time it’s a young talented goalkeeper who will join the Chelsea academy. He is 16 years old and his name is Sami Tlemcani. The young goalkeeper is signed from Paris FC, who are famously popular for developing young players from tender ages.
About two years ago in 2018, Tlemcani joined Paris FC where he was highly regarded. The Ligue 2 club had been declining several offers for the youngster, but ultimately couldn’t prevent him from going into Chelsea’s hand.
As per a French Football News report, three bids worth €500k, €750k, and finally, €1m were made to tempt the club release him. It was quite a high price for a player who hasn’t stepped into the professional football world as he’s only 16.

Moreover, the youngster rejected Paris FC’s official contract offer to sign for Chelsea. He was eager to join the bLues and see himself developing there. The proposition to join as a third-choice keeper for the Chelsea senior team was quite good enough to lure him to Stamford Bridge.
The imminent arrival of Mendy in Chelsea and this new signing is a well-built plan by the board. The board wants to ensure all the headaches with keepers are resolved in the future.
The young keeper will join the U-18 squad of Chelsea before he gets any minute in the senior team under the coach, Frank Lampard.
