Chelsea have again made some moves into this summer’s transfer window to improve on their sixth-place finish last season.
The newest addition would be the talented Aston Villa young lad Omari Kellyman, who is reportedly due for a medical at Chelsea this week.
The deal could cost the reported sum of £19 million and comes just two years after Kellyman joined Villa for £600,000, appearing six times for the first team.
The Blues are scouting Europe and South America for some of the most exciting young prospects on the continent and are banking on Kellyman to follow in the footsteps of Cole Palmer.
Palmer joined Chelsea last summer in a deal worth around £40 million from Manchester City and has become an important member of the squad.
Kellyman’s impending move has come within a few days of Chelsea announcing the signing of 17-year-old Brazilian sensation Estevao.
He, in his deal, will receive an initial £29 million with an additional £25 million dependent on some achievable targets.

An official statement from their website reads –
“ Chelsea Football Club is delighted to confirm that Estevao Willian will join the team from Palmeiras next summer.
Estevao Willian, skillful and full of electric pace, remains well-renowned within South America.
Estevao has 10 appearances in the Brazilian Serie A for Palmeiras, netting 2 goals and providing 2 assists. The striker also scored in the Copa Libertadores and Copa do Brasil.
The young forward will link up with fellow countrymen Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, and Angelo Gabriel at Stamford Bridge soon.”
These signings underline an owner’s vision to have a team full of young talent that can drive the team towards long-term success.
Chelsea’s spending binge, which has seen close to £1 billion spent on players in the last two windows, is part of that project.
It was after that League Cup defeat to Liverpool at Wembley last season, with a rather disappointing performance by the team, that Gary Neville labelled the project a “billion-pound bottle job”.
Finishing sixth last season, Chelsea secured a Europa Conference League spot, while their initial targets were to qualify for the Champions League.
With Kellyman and Estevao on board, Chelsea fans can look out for breath-taking displays from these budding stars as their club continues relentlessly in its pursuit of success.
