Chelsea are prepared to make Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic an offer to join but would be handed competition in the chase by Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Perisic is linked with a move away from Inter this summer on a free transfer and despite Juventus being credited with a strong interest in the Croatian, England’s top flight suitors are better placed to land the player’s signature.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera ( as quoted by The Daily Mirror), Chelsea are looking to add to their options in the final third of the pitch by bringing in Perisic who is yet to sign a new deal with the Nerazzurri.
Should the 33-year-old rebuff putting pen to paper on an extension in Milan, it would come as a major boost on the transfer front for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea with the west London outfit ‘serious’ on launching an offer.
Newcastle United too remain right in the mix with Eddie Howe keen to bolster his ranks heading into the new campaign where The Magpies are expected to punch above their weight following a dramatic turnaround in the second half of this campaign.
