Chelsea are reportedly plotting to table an offer for summer target Jules Kounde with Thomas Tuchel facing a crisis on the contract front for his defensive duo of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
Both players are yet to pen extended terms at Stamford Bridge with the Blues beyond the next summer and there is the talk gaining ground that Chelsea could be in line to lose out on the centre-back pairing for free.
Rudiger and Christensen will be free to talk to their suitors and agree upon pre-contract terms come January 1 which means Chelsea might have to eye up reinforcements in the transfer market.
