Chelsea players who rediscovered themselves under Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel is about to complete his first month at Stamford bridge. Frank Lampard will always have a special place in the heart of Chelsea fans but Tuchel has had a huge positive impact with 8 unbeaten streaks.

With just one month’s stay at Stamford Bridge, he has revitalized some of the players who were finding it hard to find form.

Marcos Alonso

Marcus Alonso recently felt like a player for sale, he was not getting any playtime under Fank and was not even picked for the reserve team for a long time. Although his quality was never questioned by Chelsea fans. He was kind of forgotten.

After the arrival of Tuchel, he was brought back to the squad to feature in a new three-back setup. Alonso with a spectacular volley against Burnley sealed a win for the blues.

Callum Hudson-Odoi

Hudson Odoi was hailed as the next superstar at Chelsea FC. He was often regarded as the next Eden hazard but unfortunately, he lacked playing time under Frank Lampard. He was not bad but the lack of playing time hindered his consistency.

Tuchel however made him a regular starter and now he is showing glimpses of the potential he always had.
I think that Hudson-Odoi is a very good player. The potential is for him to become a great player and now he has to improve.

With the ball he is a very good player, he has to improve with movement without the ball. As a winger, he has to improve in the defensive phase, but he has the potential to become a very important player.

Timo Werner

He was supposed to be the next Didier Drogba, but the expectation was far too high, and eventually, he crumbled after a pretty decent start to his career at Chelsea. English media was criticizing him left right and center.

Although with the arrival of a Tuchel has had a massive improvement in his game. The German coach has certainly given him a ray of hope and right now he is falling in line.

Mateo Kovacic

The Player of the season 2019/20 was a regular starter under Frank Lampard. However, he was not living up to his potentials the main reason being restricted freedom under the tactics of Frank. But when Tuchel came in and gave him new responsibilities he started picking up form.
