Chelsea are reportedly planning to bring in RB Leipzig talisman Christopher Nkunku as early as January when the transfer window reopens for business.
Nkunku has been earmarked as the top name on the shopping list for the Stamford Bridge giants who are ready to back their new head coach Graham Potter with a big-name signing to bolster his front line.
According to a report from The Daily Mirror, it is claimed that the Blues are hard at work exploring the possibility of bringing Nkunku to west London sooner after agreeing on a deal in principle to sign the 24-year-old from Leipzig.
The Frenchman, who has earned eight caps from the national team, will be one of the players to watch out for in this year’s FIFA World Cup and Chelsea are hoping to secure his services in time for the New Year.
Graham Potter, having taken over the top job at the Bridge last month from Thomas Tuchel, is on the hunt for reinforcements to freshen up his attacking roster despite Chelsea spending big on snapping up Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer.
