Chelsea owners open talks with the PSG board to sign Neymar

Chelsea owners have opened talks with the Paris Saint-Germain board to sign Neymar with the meeting between Todd Boehly and Nasser al Khelaifi taking place in Paris on Tuesday.

The Blues co-owner Boehly met with the PSG president Nasser al Khelaifi in the French capital to discuss a potential transfer this summer for the Brazilian superstar Neymar, according to a report from ESPN.

PSG were looking to part ways with the former Barcelona star last summer but no clubs were willing to move in for Neymar who pockets €30 million a year despite falling out of favour in the PSG camp.

Boehly was offered the chance to land Neymar when PSG were hoping to cash in on the 31-year-old attacker and it is said that the American owner could be tempted to revive his interest in recruiting the Brazil international for Chelsea.

The talks between Boehly and Al Khelaifi, held in a luxury hotel near the Arc de Triomphe, also discussed the failed move to PSG for Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech who nearly signed for the Ligue 1 giants on deadline day last month.
