Liverpool superstar Mohammad Salah is reportedly on Thomas Tuchel’s radar for Chelsea heading into this summer with the boss keen on adding to his options up top on the pitch.
German journalist Christian Falk of BILD has claimed that the 28-year-old Salah, a former player at the Bridge, is being lined up as a probable summer signing for Tuchel who is enjoying great success in his early months in charge of Chelsea.
With the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech failing to meet expectations that had surrounded them when they arrived in west London the previous summer, Tuchel is understood to be wanting to bolster his attacking ranks with Erling Haaland being the priority target for the German coach.
Salah’s name being linked with a return to the Chelsea colours is bound to cause a surprise amongst the club’s fanbase but would surely be subject to much excitement with the Egyptian international now one of the biggest names in world football despite enduring a horrid spell last time around at Stamford Bridge.
The Reds forward has found the back of the net 20 times this season in just 33 outings so far and continues to be Jurgen Klopp’s most influential performer on the pitch for an otherwise under-fire Liverpool outfit.
