Chelsea keen on signing AC Milan No.1 Donnarumma in the summer

AC Milan star goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is of much interest to Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea outfit and recent reports are claiming that the Blues would be willing to table a bumper pay package to lure the Italian international to West London in the summer.

Chelsea have made signing Donnarumma their paramount priority for their expected business during the summer transfer window amid speculation of the young shot-stopper stalling his extension talks with AC Milan.

Reports from ESPN state that Chelsea’s interest in the Milan goalie is set to be rivalled by French giants Paris Saint-Germain, with the UEFA Champions League runners-up also quite keen on the Italian whose current deal comes to a close at the end of this campaign.

Despite rumours of the 22-year-old planning to extend his stay in the AC Milan colours beyond the summer, Tuchel’s reported desire of adding a world-class goalkeeping name to his squad could result in a much-anticipated move for the Serie A star by the Blues.

Chelsea had used the transfer window last summer to bring in Eduoard Mendy to replace the out-of-favour Kepa between the sticks and it looks as if the Blues would be lured to spend more on their first-choice No.1 target when July arrives.
