Chelsea have joined fellow Premier League rivals Liverpool in the race for England international Jadon Sancho heading into this summer’s transfer window with the Dortmund forward a key target for a host of top sides ahead of the next season.
Sancho had infamously failed to seal a move to Manchester United last summer and even as the Red Devils remain in the mix to register their interest in the Englishman, Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea have amped up their approach for Sancho.
Tuchel is understood to be desiring to add to his attacking options at Stamford Bridge in light of the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech failing to adapt to new surroundings just a summer into their arrival in west London.
Reports from BILD claim that the Stamford Bridge outfit are now involved in what is surely a widely-contested race to sign the 12-goal star attacker who has endured a great personal campaign despite Dortmund’s faltering one this season in German top-flight action.
Sancho is interestingly the second Dortmund name that has attracted attention from Chelsea with his attacking partner Erling Haaland a priority target for Thomas Tuchel in the coming summer on the back of his superb goalscoring form.
