Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin is emerging as an in-demand name in this summer’s transfer window with Chelsea the latest entrants in the race to sign the England international.
Thomas Tuchel has been heavily backed to use the market this summer to bring in a new striker to bolster his options up top on the pitch in light of last summer’s marquee signing Timo Werner failing to meet expectations that had surrounded his move to Stamford Bridge from Germany.
Reports from football365 claim that The Blues are joining Premier League duo Arsenal and Manchester United in the race for the 24-year-old Dominic Calvert-Lewin who was Everton’s go-to man in their frontline across the 2020-21 campaign.
Calvert-Lewin has also courted interest from La Liga heavyweights Real Madrid who now have Carlo Ancelotti occupying the managerial post and the Italian who was in charge of Everton until last month will be keen on reuniting with his former player in the Spanish capital city.
Inter Milan’s Romelu Lukaku and Borussia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland are the other two names understood to be high on Tuchel’s shopping list for his first transfer window in charge of Chelsea where he is bound to be provided with a surplus kitty by owner Roman Abramovich.
