Chelsea are claimed to be in line to lose star central defender Antonio Rudiger on a free transfer next summer with the player’s contract impasse creating a major worry for Thomas Tuchel.
The Germany international has been a top performer for the Blues under Tuchel who only took over earlier this year but has brought about a major turnaround at Stamford Bridge.
Rudiger’s showings at the back has earned the former AS Roma man rave reviews but the defender’s future in the Chelsea shirt has been subject to much speculation with his current deal expiring in less than ten months.
Reports from ESPN have suggested that Chelsea risk losing the 28-year-old Rudiger for nothing come next summer with no progress made in the talks with the player over penning a new deal to extend his stay at the club beyond the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
The likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have been credited with a strong interest in signing Rudiger from Chelsea with the player on the lookout for a massive bump in his wages.
