Chelsea have not given up on signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo

Chelsea have not given up on signing Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo who is reportedly being courted by three Premier League clubs this month.

The south Coast outfit, however, do not want to green light a move elsewhere for the midfield talent and Brighton is under no pressure to sell with Caicedo’s terms due for another two-and-a-half years.

According to a report from Sky Sports, it is claimed that the Ecuador international Caicedo is a top name on the shopping list for the Stamford Bridge camp who remain on the search for a new midfield signing to bolster the squad.

Graham Potter is set to lose veterans N’Golo Kante and Jorginho at the end of the season with their contracts up for renewal and both midfielders are likey to seek a new destination when they head into free agency in the summer.

The Blues had come close to signing Benfica star Enzo Fernandez in a mid-season move only for the Portuguese outfit to play hardball over the asking price which led to Chelsea pulling the plug on talks for the transfer.
