Chelsea were handed a major boost on the injury front ahead of the forthcoming Carabao Cup final showdown against Liverpool on Sunday.
Reece James, Hakim Ziyech, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount were all injury concerns for Thomas Tuchel’s side in the build-up to the game but all four players would be in the fray for team selection going by the Chelsea manager’s pre-match remarks.
Ben Chilwell, as things stand, is the only first-team regular who is confirmed sidelined for the weekend clash in the English capital between two of the biggest teams across the country.
“We had training today with everyone out on the pitch except for Ben Chilwell which is brilliant news and this is pretty much it. Both okay, since today.
“They were not only on the pitch with separate programmes, everybody joined team training from the first to the last minute. We have no reactions at the moment but positive reactions.
“I hope it stays like this, we have another training tomorrow and everybody is available for Sunday.”
Tuchel would be in for a welcome boost with his star wing-back Reece James making the return to training earlier this week after a two-month-long layoff with a hamstring injury that curtailed his game time for a big chunk of the ongoing campaign.
Playmaker Mason Mount also shook off his injury fears as the England international came off the bench midweek in the 2-0 win over Lille in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16 game.
