Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino has been in search of some good news following a disappointing beginning to his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
Unfortunately, after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, the Blues have been hit with more concerning news as Levi Colwill is said to have sustained an injury.
Following additional scans to assess the injury, the talented defender has been declared fit and is set to join the England national team during the international break, as reported by the Secret Scout.
Colwill has solidified his place as a regular starter under Pochettino this season, playing every minute of Premier League matches in the first four matchdays.

Despite not playing in his preferred position, the 20-year-old has put in respectable performances as a left-back within the manager’s 3-5-2 system.

During the summer, Chelsea made significant efforts to secure a long-term contract for their homegrown defender, successfully warding off interest from Brighton & Hove Albion, as well as Liverpool and Manchester City.
The Blues were determined to retain this promising talent after his impressive loan spell at Brighton last season.
Colwill committed to a new contract that will keep him at Chelsea until 2029, dispelling any speculations about his future.
He has earned an international call-up, with Gareth Southgate including him in the England squad for the upcoming September international break.
Colwill will be part of the England squad facing Ukraine in the 2024 European Championship qualifiers on September 9 and Scotland in a friendly match three days later.

England has had a strong run in the qualifying Group C, winning all four matches, positioning them well for next summer’s tournament.
Given England’s successful qualifying campaign, Colwill may have the chance to make his national team debut against Ukraine, and even if he doesn’t play in that match, the game against Scotland provides an excellent opportunity for him to earn his first senior appearance for the national team.
