Chelsea Defender Is Burnley Target For £15 Million

The latest reports have claimed that Burnley is looking to poach Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomari in the summer transfer window for a £15 million transfer fee.

The Blues will face a tough season this term as they will not be able to sign any players in the summer transfer window because of a transfer ban that will last for an entire year. Chelsea will have to bring back players from loan at several other clubs to compensate and new manager Frank Lampard has a big task on his hands.

The former Chelsea midfielder was finally appointed as the clubs manager earlier this week and has to decide the players that he wants to keep at the club or sell. One decision that the 41-year-old needs to make are whether he wants to keep hold of Fikayo Tomari after the center-back spent last season out on loan at Derby County.

The 21-year-old was under Lampard’s guidance as he helped the Rams to the final of the Championship play-offs but failed to get them over the line to secure promotion in the Premier League. Tomari was rock solid for Derby County and looks like a great option for Chelsea if they want to groom him for the future.

But reports claim that Sean Dyche has been interested in signing Tomari in a bid to lure him at Turf Moor. The Clarets could sign the youth from England but Lampard will have to make a firm decision on whether they would accept his valued price of £15 million at least.
