Chelsea have been credited with an interest in Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha with his contract at Selhurst Park due to expire at the end of the season.
The Blues are in dire need of reinforcement to bolster their attacking ranks and could turn to the soon-to-be free agent Zaha to provide that extra impetus to the front line which has struggled to perform this term.
According to a report from The Daily Mail, it is claimed that Zaha is an in-demand name in the transfer market and Chelsea are emerging as a serious contender among the clubs vying for his signature ahead of the summer window.
The Chelsea top brass are aware that trimming down the squad size would be a priority to make matters more manageable for incoming head coach Mauricio Pochettino who is close to the appointment to the Stamford Bridge hot seat.
Interestingly, Zaha is a player Pochettino has made an approach for during his time in charge of Tottenham Hotspur and the Argentine coach could be interested in reviving his interest in the Ivorian winger.
