Chelsea could lose out on midfield man Jorginho for free next summer with talks over a new deal hitting a roadblock since Todd Boehly’s purchase of the club.
The Italy international’s future at the Bridge has attracted much speculation in recent times with just a year left on his current terms with the Blues amid some of Italy’s biggest sides showing an interest in the midfielder.
Jorginho competed for game time with the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic last season and the former Napoli man is understood to have doubts over his role in the Chelsea camp, according to a claim from the Brazilian outlet Globo Esporte.
Despite the promise of reopening talks with the player and his representatives, Chelsea, under the new ownership of Todd Boehly, are yet to reach out to Jorginho for the awaited contract discussions.
The likes of Napoli and Juventus have been keeping close tabs on the Chelsea man with the Serie A heavyweights keen to move in for his signature on a Bosman deal this coming January.
