As reported by Football London, Chelsea are reportedly considering Rayan Cherki as a potential replacement for Mason Mount as they seek to add a new creative player to their squad this summer.
The 19-year-old prodigy from Olympique Lyonnais has caught the attention of the London club with his impressive rise to prominence.
Cherki, who has two years remaining on his contract, made 34 appearances in Ligue 1 last season under the guidance of manager Laurent Blanc, making a direct contribution to ten goals. Despite his young age, the talented teenager has quickly established himself as a regular starter for Lyon.
In recent weeks, the 19-year-old prodigy has become a potential target for Mauricio Pochettino’s Paris Saint-Germain. The Chelsea management has already engaged in discussions regarding the young talent.
The two clubs have a positive relationship as they recently completed a deal involving Malo Gusto, which has also led to conversations about Cherki.
Considered one of the most promising talents in French football, the playmaker has attracted the interest of the Blues, prompting the club to pursue a potential transfer.

Another young player, Gabri Veiga from Spain, is also on Chelsea’s radar, but it seems that Cherki may be the preferred choice.
Lyon had initially hoped to secure the services of Christian Pulisic in exchange, but the American winger has decided to join AC Milan in Serie A instead.
Cherki has displayed his scoring ability with 19 goals in 114 career games, including five goals in 39 appearances across various competitions last season.
