Callum Hudson Odoi Close To Signing New Deal With The Club

Following the appointment of Frank Lampard as Chelsea’s new manager, Callum Hudson Odoi is set to hold talks with the 41-year-old in a bid to agree to a new deal with the club.

Hudson Odoi established himself as one of the hottest properties in English football over the past few seasons and therefore the teenage sensation has become a transfer target for the top clubs in the European continent including Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga champions had initially made a bid for the English winger back in January but Chelsea decided to reject the advances of the German giants.

The 18-year-old was not given plenty of opportunities to showcase his talents under Maurizio Sarri last season and a successful future at Chelsea looked bleak. However, Hudson Odoi managed to impress in the limited game time that he received as he scored four goals in nine appearances in the Europa League helping Chelsea to the final.

But an Achilles injury kept the attacking midfielder out of action towards the back end of the season and there were rumors which claimed that Hudson Odoi would be sold in the summer transfer window if a big offer arrived.

However, recent reports claim that Hudson Odoi will hold talks with Lampard over signing a contract extension and keeping Bayern Munich away from their primary target. Realizing that his dreams can become true at Stamford Bridge, the wonder-kid will sign a new deal which will see him earn £100,000 a week when he signs the contract.
