Eden Hazard’s absence gave Pedro a chance to stake a claim for starting XI.
While Azpilicueta made his 200th appearance for the Blues, and a 10- match unbeaten run would not have been a better offering for the Spaniard.
As expected, Burnley dominated the game from the start. The visitors did get a go on the goal when in 12th minute, Ross Barkley’s tapped volley was deflected deliberately by Morata but Hart came in the way of lurking ball and the nets.
But it was not late that Morata grasped the nettle in 22nd minute and make it 1-0 for The Blues.
A loss in possession followed by a pass from Kante to Barkley and a through ball between the Burnley defence to eventually burry the ball past Hart.
The confidence grew, Blues were almost settled, chances were being created, by and large.
The second period began with Chelsea a goal ahead and to add on to Burnley’s curse came a left-footed strike from outside the box of Barkley’s foot.
Then the third!
Willian’s strike stunned the gloves of Hart and left no chance for former Englishman to save a bottom corner smash.
And the fourth!
The fourth goal by Loftus-Cheek in injury time sealed the victory.
It all started from a subtle touch of Morata that laid the platform of three prowess shoots to follow.
Chelsea were confident more than comfortable. If they continue the way they are going, a title won’t be far away.
