Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo is attracting interest from Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United ahead of the summer transfer window.
The Ecuadorian international had previously received rejected offers from the London clubs during the January transfer window before signing a new contract with Brighton.
However, recent comments from Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi indicate that the club may be open to letting Caicedo leave if the right offer comes along.
As stated by the Telegraph, the Seagulls are reportedly demanding a fee well above £70 million for the talented 21-year-old midfielder. Arsenal and Liverpool may also join the race for Caicedo depending on their financial situation.
Chelsea will make a strong effort to secure the signing of Moises Caicedo, but negotiations may prove challenging due to Brighton’s reputation as tough negotiators.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have set their sights on West Ham United captain Declan Rice as their priority target for midfield reinforcement.
Mikel Arteta’s team is looking to strengthen their options in the center of the pitch, with Rice considered the top contender. However, other clubs like Manchester United and Bayern Munich have also been linked with the English international in recent rumors.
This means that the Blues have a clear road when it comes to securing Caicedo’s signature. Mauricio Pochettino will be eager to sign a strong defensive midfielder for the upcoming campaign.
Chelsea have been shambolic in the middle of the field and they need some fresh legs to pair with Enzo Fernandez. The Blues are already working to sell some of their midfielders in order to make space in the already bloated squad.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is set to join AC Milan. Whereas, N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic have already received offers from Al-Ittihad and Manchester City, respectively.
