Barcelona have reportedly touched base with Antonio Rudiger’s agent Sahr Senesie with speculation rife over the Chelsea defender’s future beyond the summer.
The Germany international centre-back is out of contract at Stamford Bridge come the end of the season with a new deal yet to be penned by Rudiger amid interest in his services from elsewhere across Europe.
Some of the biggest clubs in the continent, including the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, have been credited with a strong interest in the Chelsea contract rebel’s signature ahead of the summer’s transfer window.
Joining the fray are Catalan heavyweights Barcelona, according to a report from Sky Sports Germany, which claims that Barca football director Alemany and international scouting director Cruyff met Rudiger’s agent Senesie who is also the player’s half brother.
The Barca camp are on the hunt for defensive reinforcements this coming summer and are now eyeing up another Chelsea star in Rudiger following an agreement in place to land Andreas Christensen from the Stamford Bridge fold.
