According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Barca are looking to land both Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta from Chelsea with the latter in line to discuss his future at the Bridge in the coming weeks.
It is understood that Alonso is all set to call it quits with the Blues but a move to Camp Nou would depend upon the final asking price between the two clubs with Chelsea likely to hold out for a sizable transfer fee.
Alonso has been drafted back into the Chelsea XI since the turn of the year with Thomas Tuchel losing his first-choice option in the England international Ben Chilwell to a season-ending injury.
