AS Roma and Real Betis Keeping Tabs on Pedro Stance at Chelsea

Blues attacker Pedro Rodriguez is facing a decision over his future as a host with a move to either Italy or a return to Spain on the cards as he enters the final few stages of his contract with Chelsea.

According to reports from BBC, Serie A outfit AS Roma and Spanish side Real Betis have been keeping tabs on Pedro’s situation at Chelsea in a bit to sign the 32-year-old.

With the Premier League currently suspended due to the outbreak of the coronavirus in the UK, Chelsea are likely to offload Spanish star Pedro, whose contract expires on June 30.

The ex-Barcelona star arrived from the Camp Nou in 2015 but the west London club has reportedly decided not to offer him a contract extension as a move away from Stamford Bridge is set to take place once the summer transfer window opens up.

AS Roma are looking to sign Pedro on a free transfer to bolster their front line but the attacker is now linked with a return to his native as Real Betis have joined the race for his signature.

Although Nabil Fekir has been a great addition for Betis in the summer, the Frenchman has had injury concerns since arriving at the Seville-based side.

Pedro would be a likewise addition for Betis however he would have to take a pay cut to return to the LaLiga.

On the other hand, AS Roma could provide Pedro with Champions League football next season if the Italian side finishes inside the top 4 of the Serie A at the end of this campaign.

Either way, Pedro looks set to leave London after a five-year spell and winning the FA Cup as well as the Premier League, scoring 29 times in 135 Premier League appearances for the Blues.
