Arsenal vs Chelsea: Who would win the Wembley’s FA Cup finals?

Chelsea trade tackle with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal hoping to dent the Gunners season in the course of the contest. Both teams booked their place for the Wembley Showdown after deservingly beating Manchester City and Manchester United in the Semi-finals.

The match presents another opportunity for London rivalry as both sides aim each other’s scalp in the course of the 90 minutes.

Both sides finished in contrasting positions in the Premier League with Chelsea doing very much better than Arsenal having ended the season in fourth spot.

The Gunners however finished 8th on the League table, three points behind Wolverhampton Wanderers who are placed 7th on the table. And this leaves the Gunners very much in need of the FA Cup crown at all cost.

But with their resurgence towards the end of the season, we ponder who among the two London giants would win the Oldest club competition in the English topflight.

From the look of things, it’s relatively unpredictable owing to the fact that both sides have got the know-how to navigate it to the podium when it comes to this competition.

Arsenal may have struggled to make the top four position in the EPL standings but they hold the record of 13 successful FA Cup titles going into this match.

However, Chelsea’s gritty movement and attacking style of play may see them touted as the favourite against Arsenal especially as former Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud is in fine form alongside the impressive Christian Pulisic.

But the fact that Chelsea could miss the want away playmaker Willian who has a knock could present some form of hope to Arsenal.

Chelsea would do themselves good to be cautious going into this tricky contest against their London rivals.

With Bukayo Saka expected to provide amazing runs and contributions to the side as well as Hector Bellerin’s fluency in the right side of the pitch, Arsenal has got a decent chance to win the game.

Both sides have got one good thing going for them as it was on this stance that each side earned their place in the Wembley FA Cup finals.

Chelsea on their own have got some defensive issues to deal with having conceded thrice in their 3-0 defeat against Sheffield United in the Premier League.

And with the Gunners possessing the lethal pair of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the company of the trickery Nicolas Pepe, Arsenal have got a good chance of recording victory in the game.

So (Frank) Lampard and his Chelsea side must not go to bed for any reason in the contest otherwise they (Chelsea) would pay for it just like Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City was defeated by a pair of goals from Arsenal Captain and star forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
