Antonio Rudiger nearing agreement to sign for Serie A giants Juventus

Antonio Rudiger is nearing an agreement to sign for Serie A giants Juventus with the German defender on the verge of leaving the Stamford Bridge fold.

The Chelsea contract rebel has long been linked with a move away from the English capital come the summer with his terms up for renewal with the Blues as some of the biggest European clubs keep close tabs on his situation.

Set to emerge as the winners of the widely contested race to land Rudiger’s signature, which includes the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, could be Italian bigwigs Juventus, according to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Juventus are understood to be closing in on a four-year deal for Rudiger with the former Roma man preferring a move to Turin over both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich when his stay at the Bridge comes to an end.

Rudiger would be in line to pocket a sizable sum of £5.4 million per season which would go beyond his current wages at Chelsea who are not permitted to negotiate a new deal for the defender due to the sanctions placed on club owner Roman Abramovich by the UK government.
