AC Milan to open talks with Chelsea for attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech

AC Milan are set to open talks with Chelsea for attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech who has asked for a move away from Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window.

Ziyech has fallen down the pecking order in the English capital city after struggling for consistency in the Premier League since he linked up with Chelsea in the summer of 2020 from Ajax.

The Moroccan playmaker has been linked with Serie A giants AC Milan in the recent past and speculation is gaining ground that the Italian champions are in line to make a concrete approach for their long-standing target in the market.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the San Siro camp have put Ziyech back on their wishlist with the ex-Ajax attacker willing to negotiate a lower pay package in order to force his way out the Stamford Bridge exit door.

Milan are expected to move in for Ziyech on loan for the next season with an option to buy which was the formula used to land centre-back Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea last summer.
