AC Milan step up interest in signing Chelsea man Hakim Ziyech on loan

Chelsea playmaker Hakim Ziyech could be on his way out of Stamford Bridge just a summer into his big-money transfer to the Premier League with AC Milan keen on making a move for him.

The Serie A heavyweights are understood to be in line to extend a loan offer for the Moroccon international who has failed to cement a first-team berth in Thomas Tuchel’s camp in his first season in west London.

Ziyech arrived at the Bridge from Ajax to much fanfare but his displays were quite inconsistent to grab a regular starting role on the Chelsea teamsheet which has given birth to talk of his exit from the Blues in this summer’s transfer window.

Reports from The Sun claim that AC Milan, who have already raided Chelsea twice this summer for the signings of Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud, now have their attention on Ziyech’s transfer status with the Italian giants pushing for a loan deal ahead of the start of the 2021-22 campaign.

AC Milan are backed to sign a new playmaker this summer and Ziyech could present himself a viable alternative on a loan transfer to the Serie A outfit than FC Barcelona outcast Philippe Coutinho.
