AC Milan open talks to sign Chelsea contract rebel Andreas Christensen

AC Milan have reportedly opened talks to sign Chelsea contract rebel Andreas Christensen with a big-money offer made for the Dane by the Serie A bigwigs.

The central defender has failed to extend terms with the Stamford Bridge outfit beyond next summer despite Thomas Tuchel’s repeated attempts to tie down his star first-team regular to a new deal.

Christensen has proven to be one of the most consistent performers in the Chelsea colours under Tuchel’s charge but with his contract due to expire at the end of the season, Europe’s biggest clubs have been keeping close tabs on his situation.

Reports from Rudy Galetti (via Football.london) claim that AC Milan have attempted to move ahead in the race to land the Chelsea man by tabling an offer of €4m-per-year for the signature of the 25-year-old.

A long-term injury sustained by star defender and skipper Simon Kjaer has forced AC Milan to scout the market for reinforcements with Christensen a top name on the wishlist at San Siro.
