Chelsea could use Christian Pulisic as a makeweight for their approach for Matthijs de Ligt with Juventus credited with a strong interest in the American winger.
Thomas Tuchel’s side have been keen on moving in for the unsettled De Ligt who is rumoured to have handed in a transfer request at Juventus as he sets his sights on joining the Stamford Bridge camp this summer.
The Holland international is said to be a top name on the wishlist for Tuchel and Chelsea with the gaffer having his task cut out in bolstering his options at the back after having seen both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leave.
According to a report from the Italian outlet Tuttosport ( via Marca), it is claimed that Chelsea’s approach for De Ligt could include wide player Christian Pulisic moving in the opposite direction to convince Juventus to accept the offer.
Chelsea will hope to find an acceptable arrangement for both parties involved and with Pulisic not expected to earn regular game time at the Bridge, the former Dortmund player should be interested in the idea of a chance of scenery.
