Everton are eyeing up a potential double raid on Chelsea this summer for the midfield pairing Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour, according to a report from the Italian outlet Calciomercato.
Both players have come up through the Blues ranks from the famed youth setup and have shown promise in their early years to be regarded as future regulars on the Chelsea teamsheet in the years to come.
In recent times, however, Gallagher and Gilmour have failed to earn regular game time at Stamford Bridge with the duo departing last summer on loan deals for Crystal Palace and Norwich City respectively.
It is now suggested that Everton, under the charge of the former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard, is keen on signing the midfield players with Lampard hopeful of bringing the young pair to Goodison Park ahead of the next season’s start.
Gallagher had emerged as one of the standout midfield players in the Premier League over the 2021-22 season with the 22-year-old impressing with his showings for Palace as he produced a return of eight goals and five assists from 39 outings.
