English Premier League

Olivier Giroud has a great chance of Scoring!

Olivier Giroud has an opportune to let his boots do the talking.

All season long, Giroud has selflessly played the role of a centre-forward letting the likes of Hazard flourish with his on time touches and on point passes.

While Hazard has been enjoying the limelight, Giroud has quietly gone through his business, out for the race of Premier League top scorer but certainly a vital role-maker in Sarri’s XI.

Have the defenders stopped Giroud from yielding valuable assists?
No.

Have they stopped him from winning aerial passes?
Not even once.

Is Giroud a selfless striker and a team player?
Undoubtedly, Yes.

With unvaluable qualities of a forward, Giroud may have been underrated but has not been undervalued by Sarri.

As a striker Giroud would want his name on the sheet, but does what is best for the team.

Giroud said. “Obviously I prefer to have chances and score but, if I can make space for the others, I always try to choose the best option for the team. That’s the main thing.”

But has the time come for Giroud to score?

Against a meek defence of United, his ability to win aerial balls, be present in right position and unstoppable shots, Giroud has got to make it count.

With Giroud at the focal point, he is my pick of the bunch. Giroud can be more than a match for wobbly back. De Gea will surely be a pillar to break but not if his hammering shots are on target.

Useful in the attack as he has been, the very thought of his aerial winners will scare United. With the attention of defenders on Hazard, Giroud will surely get his chances.

Maybe Giroud was keeping his goals for the game against United.

The time has arrived and the opponents can not be any better than Mourinho’s Red Devils.

With confidence back in their belt, they may be difficult to meander through but only a little.

Girold’s brain off the ball and movement along the ball will have to be accompanied by his striking ability, if he wants to write his name in history books.

When for the Gunners, Giroud has scared the defence of United, but has not tested them much in Blue shirt.

No team can be better than United to break 11 match goal drought. Although, his importance has not decreased, Giroud would want to score and add a sway to his name.

The tale of non-scoring striker and his goal drought seems to have an end.
