Chelsea are reportedly weighing up a January move for Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic with Thomas Tuchel on the hunt for a new wing-back option for his ranks.
Ben Chilwell’s injury has forced the Chelsea manager Tuchel to scout the market and bring in a fresh face to provide cover in the left sided wing-back role alongside the Spaniard Marcos Alonso.
According to reports from The Mirror, it is claimed that Croatia international Ivan Perisic has emerged on the radar in the English capital at Stamford Bridge with Inter Milan willing to listen to offers for their first-team player.
The 32-year-old Perisic will see his deal at San Siro expire come the end of the campaign and Inter are hoping to cash in on him in the winter transfer window now open rather than lose for free in the summer.
Chelsea could have stiff competition awaiting them for their new target in the market with rumours suggesting that North London clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also keeping close tabs on Perisic’s contract situation.
