Mason Mount is back on the starting team sheet for Chelsea as they make the travels to East Midlands to face Leicester City in top flight football.
The England playmaker had been on the sidelines of late with an illness prior to the international during which he underwent a dental surgery that forced him out of the national team fold.
Chalobah pips Azpilicueta and Christensen to starting role
Thomas Tuchel hands a start to Trevoh Chalobah ahead of the much-more experienced likes of Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen with both on the bench for today’s game.
Chalobah, who recently signed extended terms at the Bridge to much fanfare, partners Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva in the three-man backline for the Blues.
Overwhelming bench strength for the visitors
N’Golo Kante slots the central midfield with Jorginho which leaves the returning Mason Mount to start out on the flank as Kai Havertz continues his duty in the central striking role.
Tuchel has the likes of Hakim Ziyech, Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner on the bench with the latter back in the matchday squad for the first time in six games.
