Chelsea play hosts to Swedish outfit Malmo on Wednesday night in the Champions League with Thomas Tuchel’s men hoping to continue their winning ways against a much weaker opposition on paper.
The Blues last turned out on Saturday in a narrow 1-0 win over the Premier League’s new boys Brentford with Ben Chilwell’s strike earning the three points for the travelling party.
After a defeat to Juventus last time around in Champions League group stage action, it will be important for Chelsea to bounce back and claim the win against their upcoming opponents from Sweden in Malmo.
Home turf has proven to be a favourable venue for Tuchel and Co. so far this new season barring that defeat to Manchester City towards the backend of last month and Chelsea remain firm favourites for the midweek contest set to be played at Stamford Bridge

TEAM NEWS
Centre-back pairing Antonio Rudiger and Thiago Silva had been forced to miss the Brentford win due to different reasons but the defensive duo were back in training ahead of the Champions League fixture.
Rudiger’s return should mean an automatic start for the Germany international with his performances key to Chelsea’s fortunes at the back.
Christian Pulisic’s road back to recovery looks uncertain with the American international winger in line to sit out another outing due to his ankle injury.
MATCH PREDICTION
The hosts Chelsea are backed as strong favourites to secure a convincing win against Malmo and we predict Thomas Tuchel’s men to do the job quite comfortably.
Chelsea 4-0 Malmo
