Chelsea are reported to be in a three-way contest for RB Leipzig star Christopher Nkunku who has Manchester City and Real Madrid too chasing his signature.
Thomas Tuchel’s camp are keen on making a move for the Frenchman following his impressive spell of form in the Bundesliga and Champions League for Leipzig, according to reports from FootMercato ( via ESPN).
Nkunku has worked with the Chelsea boss Tuchel before during their days at Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain and Tuchel could be hopeful of a reunion with the young playmaker in the near future.
The 23-year-old, who has 11 goals already so far this campaign in just nine outings across all competitions, is understood to be in line for a debut call-up to the France senior fold which will add value to his coveted signature in the transfer market.
Chelsea have been backed to use the upcoming transfer windows to bolster their roster further as question marks remain over the long-term future of Timo Werner at Stamford Bridge amid Bayern Munich’s interest in the striker.
