Thibaut Courtois has been linked with a transfer to the Spanish giants Real Madrid this summer. The Belgian defender is yet to come back to London and join the Blues. The Belgian ‘keeper has gone AWOL in order to force a move to Real Madrid.
The Golden Glove’winner of World cup 2018 has been a target for Real Madrid throughout the summer for a transfer fee of £35 million. The speculations grew when Courtois went AWOL when he was supposed to join his Chelsea teammates in Monday training.
Although the Premier League transfer window is going to close this Thursday, the player can be transferred until the end of the month as Spanish club will be able to make purchase till 31st August.
Chelsea too are prepared, for the worst case scenario. The have found out replacement for the Belgian international and are all set to sign up Jack Butland from Stoke City or Sergio Rico of Sevilla.
