Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos has made a drastic shift in his earlier claims over Jorginho being linked with a summer switch to Napoli with Santos now claiming that the midfielder will stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the forthcoming transfer window.
The Italy international was rumoured to pondering over a return to his former side Napoli in light of speculation claiming that Maurizio Sarri was in the running to take over the Napoli managerial reigns ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.
Santos had previously stated that his client could consider a prospective offer from the Serie A outfit and further fuel was added to the fire with the Blues first-teamer himself professing his admiration for the city of Naples in a recent interview.
However, while speaking to Italian news outlet Tuttomercato, the midfielder’s agent has asserted that he intends to honour his current deal with the west Londoners which runs until the summer of 2023.
“He has a two-year contract with Chelsea,” said Santos.
“He will remain at Chelsea, 100 per cent”.
When quizzed upon whether Jorginho would evaluate upon an extended and improved deal from the Blues, Santos said that such a topic of discussion was expected to be reviewed in the coming months, generating fresh talk of the player wanting to extend his stay in the Chelsea shirt.
“We will talk about it in a few months”.
