Chelsea firm over transfer fee as AC Milan eye move for Fikayo Tomori

Chelsea would refuse to budge on their asking price for one-time first-team regular Fikayo Tomori who is being eyed up for a permanent move by AC Milan in the summer transfer window.

The England international signed for the Serie A outfit in the January window and has established starting credentials for the Italian club in a very short span of time.

According to recent reports from Goal, AC Milan are keen on making a swoop for the Chelsea loanee but are looking to ensure a discounted fee rather than trigger the £26 million option to buy clause.

The west Londoners, however, are understood to be reluctant in agreeing to a cut-price deal for the highly-promising Tomori who is way down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and looks increasingly likely to call it quits this summer as the new Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel plans a rebuild.

Tuchel is believed to have prioritised Bayern Munich first-teamer Niklas Sule as his primary option when the transfer market reopens in July and with the German international’s contract stalemate with the Bundesliga giants, Tuchel would hope to bring his compatriot to England.
